Manchester City will be gunning for a third consecutive Premier League title when they kick off the 2019/20 season this August. Pep Guardiola’s men have stormed the top flight in the past two seasons, with only Liverpool able to come close to matching their power.

However, it will be interesting to see how City respond to the growing threat of the Reds, particularly now that legendary captain Vincent Kompany has departed. City have already spent big this summer and more deals are expected down the line.

Manchester City are set to start their 2019/20 premier league campaign with the opening match against West Ham on Saturday, 10 August 2019 at Anfield Stadium. Liverpool will also play another three games in August against Tottenham (17 August), Bournemouth (25 Auguts) and Brighton (31 August) followed by Norwich City game on 14 September 2019. Manchester City’s Champions League campaign begins midway through September.

Before the Premier League begins Manchester City will play againts Liverpool (as Premier League runners-up) in the Community Shield with a kickoff time of 3 p.m. BST / 10 a.m. ET. The match will be played at Wembley Stadium in London.
